I was going through some of the old pics ..and saw this one taken during my first tryst with canadian street hockey..we did win the first game but none of the soccer goalkeeping experience came to use in the second when i saw the puck pass by me 6 times!!!..
But more importantly, the "I am canadian" T shirt left me thinking that after 4 months in Ottawa, i actually feel at home in ottawa and canada and feel "canadian". The whole concept of "home" now is so hazy.. Is home where you were born or where you went to school?..or where your parents stay??..( For some lucky people, all these 3 are the same)... and then there are other "homes" where you have stayed for some time and by the time you are completely settled, its time to move..
well, its unsettling but at the same time exciting.. New places, new people, new friends..new experiences .. but at the same time, having a constant feeling that you have no "home"??
Hmm.. guess there is a price you have to pay for being a nomad....But well, i think i would happily trade not feeling at "home" anywhere in the world at 30 for all the stories i would have to tell from my different homes....
